There are several provincial immigration programs available for people interested in Immigration to Canada. Provincial programs are specifically designed for foreign workers, students, entrepreneurs who are intend to live and work in Canada in a particular province or territory.
These programs help Canadian employers to attract and retain a foreign worker who have the skills and experience and allow the employers to nominate the foreign workers for Permanent Residence.
There are many different streams in PNP programs such as a temporary foreign worker, entry level or semi- skilled position, skilled worker stream, international student stream, entrepreneur category and many more.
There are two steps to apply under the Provincial Nominee Program:
- You need to be nominated by a specific Canadian province or territory, then
- You need to apply to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to become a permanent resident of Canada.
